Senior Maintenance Supervisor – Mobile Equipment

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Maintenance Supervisor to lead our mobile equipment maintenance team. This is a critical leadership role responsible for maximizing the availability and reliability of our fleet of heavy mining equipment. The successful candidate will oversee all maintenance activities, drive continuous improvement, and ensure adherence to the highest standards of safety and operational excellence in compliance with Ghana's Minerals and Mining Regulations.

• Maintenance & Operations:
• Lead and coordinate the daily maintenance, servicing, and repair of all mobile equipment, including haul trucks, excavators, wheel loaders, dozers, motor graders, and ancillary mining equipment .
• Oversee the execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to ensure maximum equipment availability and minimal downtime .
• Plan, schedule, and monitor maintenance work orders, utilizing a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) .
• Diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain faults and provide technical guidance to the team .
• Leadership & Supervision:
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of technicians, artisans, and other maintenance personnel .
• Conduct shift handover meetings and ensure clear communication of priorities and technical issues .
• Effectively allocate labour, tools, and spare parts to maximize maintenance efficiency .
• Safety & Compliance:
• Ensure all maintenance activities are executed safely and in accordance with company policies and statutory safety, health, and environmental requirements .
• Promote a proactive safety culture and conduct regular workplace inspections and audits Ensure compliance with all requirements of the Minerals and Mining (Health, Safety and Technical) Regulations, L.I. 2182.

• Minimum of 10 - 15 years of relevant experience in maintenance within an open-pit mining environment, with at least 5 years in a senior supervisory or leadership role .
• · Extensive hands-on experience with major OEM equipment such as Komatsu, Caterpillar, Liebherr, and Hitachi .
• · Technical Skills:
• · Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications and CMMS (e.g., SAP, Pronto).
• · Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, parts books, and service manuals.
